Transitional Program
​In July of 2010, the leadership and congregation of Chancey Road Christian Church answered the call and responded to the need for a Homeless Shelter (now a Transitional Progam) here in East Pasco County. Since July 19th, the Homeless Shelter (now Transitional Program) has served over 200 residents; 37 current, 30 have been children.  Men, Women, Children, and Families are welcome.  No Reservations required.

Shelter Hours:

Open 7days a week
Opens Nightly at 5:30pm
Closes Daily at 8am
Hot Showers, Beds, Television, and Safe Environment 

Dinner is Served Nightly from 6:30 - 7:30pm
Breakfast is at 7:30am

Shuttle Service to and from Career Central in Zephyrhills is provided
Pick Up - Nightly at 5:30
Drop Off - Each Morning at 8am

All Transitional Program Participants are Background Checked at Registration.
 *Those with convictions of Sexual Offenses or convicted Pedophiles are not permitted to stay on the property.  Those with outstanding warrants are not permitted to stay and law enforcement will be notified.

Program Participants stay free for the first 14 nights. After 14 nights Program Participants are required to pay $1 per night. 

Program Participants are subject to random drug testing. Zero tolerance for drugs, alcohol, violence, or profanity

Transitional Program Outline

  • All residents receiving temporary housing will be interviewed within 72 hours of initial check in.
  • All residents must agree to participating in Transitional Program in order to receive continued housing assistance.
  • Residents not willing to participate in the Transitional Program will be limited to one 30 day stay and pay a nightly fee of $5.
  • After the initial interview resident will be place on a 30 day, 90 day, or 12 month Transitional Plan. Program will include but not be limited to the following:
  • Mandatory Substance Abuse Counseling (AA & NA groups are offered onsite)
  • Mandatory Job Placement (Program Participant will be required to have a minimum of 5 job interviews per week, be involved in a Career Central job training/placement program, and have employment within the first 30 days)
  • Mandatory Education Programs (Program Participant will be required to complete a GED program, computer training, parenting classes, credit counseling, etc.)
  • Mandatory Volunteer Service Hours (Program Participant will be required to volunteer a minimum of 10 hours per week to maintain eligible program status)
  • Program participant will be required to apply for assistance to secure suitable housing. 

 Failure to complete any portion of the Transitional Program will result in immediate dismissal and participant will not receive any further assistance.
