WE BELIEVE - Jesus, the Christ, is our only creed. God's Divine Revelation, the Bible, is our only standard of faith. We strive and plead for unity - not a union of denominations, but a unity of all believers in Christ - that the world may be led to believe in Him and be saved. (John 17:19-23) (Acts 2:44)
WE BELIEVE - The Bible is the only authority and pattern for the church in faith and practice. We strive to teach, preach, and promote the entire Word of God, the Bible, in all of its fullness. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
WE BELIEVE - Salvation comes through Faith, accepting God's Gift of Grace through Jesus (Ephesians 2:2-9), by Hearing the Truth (Romans 10:14), Believing unto Righteousness & Confessing unto Salvation (Romans 10:9-10), Repentance of Sin, Baptism in Jesus name for Remission of Sin, and Receiving the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38), Living a Life led by the Holy Spirit. (Galatians 5:24-25)
WE BELIEVE - As obedient followers of Christ, we are simply CHRISTIANS, and nothing more. (Acts 11:26 & 1 Peter 4:16)
WE BELIEVE - All Christians should be active participants in the commission of Jesus to go and make Disciples. (Matthew 28:18-20)
WE BELIEVE - Compassion and ministry starts at home in our own community meeting the needs of hurting people. (Matthew 25:31-46, Acts 2:44-45)
WE BELIEVE - In the the prayer of faith, laying on of hands, and anointing of oil for healing of the sick and forgiveness of sin. (James 5:13-16)
WE BELIEVE - In the faithful fellowship of believers and regular remembrance of the Death, Burial, and Resurrection of Jesus through Communion. (Acts 2:42-44, 1Corinthians 11:23-26)
WE BELIEVE - In the equipping of believers for kingdom work through spiritual gifts distributed by the Holy Spirit as He determines. (1Corinthians 12:4-11)
WE BELIEVE – Elders (bishops) are the spiritual overseers and shepherds of the local church body. (1Timothy 3:1-7) And that they are appointed and ordained by other Elders (bishops) (Titus 1:5-9) Elders must be men full of the Holy Spirit and meet the qualifications outlined in scripture.
WE BELIEVE - Deacons are servants of the church body and helpmates to the Elders (bishops). (Acts 6:1-4) (1Timothy 3 8-13) Deacons are selected from among the church body and appointed by the elders.
WE BELIEVE – In biblical giving and stewardship. God provides the resources for giving. Tithing is considered a tenth of the first-fruits of increase. Offerings and tithes are to be given cheerfully and sincerely and intentionally. Elders (bishops) are responsible to see that the gifts are distributed to meet the needs of the church body. (Acts 2:44-45, Acts 4:33-35, 2Corinthians 9:6-15, Malachi 3:9-11, and 1Timothy 5:17-19)
WE BELIEVE - Church Membership is not practiced nor taught in scripture. We believe that individuals are added to the Church (the body of Christ) by Lord as they are saved. There is only one church of which followers of Jesus are the only members. (Acts 2:47, Ephesians 4;4-6)
